Digital ECM Microphone Pre-Amplifier
The AAP149X is part of AAIs family of specialty products for Portable Electronics applications, in this case aimed at digital microphone
based ECMs. The AAP149X offers ultra low noise, ultra low power performance. Built on the base of AAIs lead ECM Preamplifiers, the AAP149X extends the market leading performance into the digital domain.
Multiple gain options are available, from 11 dB to 16 dB, as detailed in the Features list. Integrated with a 3 mm microphone cartridge, the SNR can be 66 dB or better. Additional design features include reduced THD, improved RF/EMC rejection and better gain accuracy. The AAP149X offers low power consumption, with a typical supply current of 480 μA at 1.8V. Other features include 20kHz minimum signal bandwidth, a dynamic range exceeding 86dB and a sleep mode to reduce supply current below 10μA with a fast wake-up scheme.
The AAP149X comes in a 6-Pin configuration, offering L&R selection in addition to its standard Voltage, Ground, Audio In with Data and Clock signals. It comes in a Micro SMD Package, each 850 μm x 1200 μm die is approximately 300 μm thick (including solder balls). The packaged product will be offered in waffle pack for small quantity evaluation and tape and reel for high volume.
