PRELIMINARY Quad RS485 Transceiver The AAHS4485 is part of ASIC Advantage’s new family of Radiation Tolerant products aimed at the military and aerospace markets. The AAHS4485 is a Radiation Tolerant half-duplex quad transceiver designed for RS485 data bus networks.
The AAHS4485 combines 4 transceivers into a single monolithic integrated circuit. Each tri-state differential line driver and differential line input receiver has an active enable control. This device is suitable for data transmission up to 2Mbps over twisted-pair cable. The AAHS4485 has a wide common-mode range which allows the device to be an ideal candidate for use in applications where noise tolerance is essential.
The AAHS4485 is offered in a 44-pin ceramic flatpack (CQFP) package. The AAHS4485 has demonstrated tolerance to 200kRad(Si) total dose, as well as immunity to latch-up and SEE tolerance. Available standard screening includes Level “S” or Level “B,” with other requirements negotiable as in line with our capabilities.
