AAI has enjoyed considerable success in custom design of components to meet the challenging requirements for military and aerospace radiation-tolerant applications. Based on our success to date, AAI is increasing its portfolio to offer some products believed to be commonly needed by customers in these types of applications as “standard” products. Note that their availability will be governed in compliance with United States I.T.A.R. and other applicable regulations.

AAI manufactures its Radiation-Tolerant products at a US based foundry, using its own proprietary library for radiation-hardened requirements. We have successfully delivered and qualified products demonstrating 200kRad(Si) Total Ionizing Dose capability, as well as survival of Single Event Effects for both digital and mixed-signal ASICs. AAI is ITAR and ISO9001:2000 compliant. For testing, AAI uses industry recognized partners in California and Colorado for TID, Latch-up and SEE Testing support.

AAI’s extensive test capability enables provision of fully screened die or packaged products, with allowances for the full range of lot and part traceability, as well as full screening up through the full range of requirements under Class “S”, Class “V” or Class “K” screening per MIL-STD-883, MIL-STD-38534 and MIL-STD-38535. Having serviced various high-reliability markets, AAI understands the requirements for sustained product life, and makes every effort to utilize processes with expected 10 year availability, as well as commonly offering a die bank option for supply insurance.

With over forty ICs designed for the Military/Aerospace market, including offerings such as FPGA to ASIC conversion, AAI is a proven supplier in this application space. AAI offers its full range of custom capabilities for those requiring them, such as specialty customer requirements for FPGA conversion (Gate-Gate Remapping, DFT, Time Matching). The four standard products offered in this section are the first of a portfolio of future products that will be brought to market to supply our customers the best solutions possible for their radiation-hardened applications.

The initial products will include a high-performance D/A Converter, as well as an 8-Channel Source Driver. Additional products will be offered in future to expand on this family and provide a broader range of solutions. As with all AAI products, customization is an option available depending on your specific requirements.
