AAI has a proven experience in providing solutions for a broad range of medical applications, including defibrillators, ultrasound, and implantable drug delivery applications. With the introduction of this new branch of AAIs standard products, AAI will be providing feature-rich products to help in these types of applications. Of particular note in these applications are our high voltage content, as demonstrated by our high-side drivers and HV analog switches. As a new family of products, all the Medical products will be named under the AAI Part Naming Convention. Our initial products will include offerings for isolated high-side driving of IGBTs, SCRs, Triacs, and MOSFETs and a 16-channel HV analog switch with bleed resistors. Additional products will be offered in the future to expand on these products in order to exploit the mix of digital and analog blocks that are part of the broad range of AAIs mixed-signal capabilities. As with all AAI products, customization is an available option. The products in this category are intended to be used as dual purpose devices that are offered in various categories. The first two ICs are targeted as stated at portable defibrillators and ultrasound applications, as well as general power management and sensors and instrumentation. Note, AAI makes no claims regarding the applicability, suitability or reliability of its products for life-sustaining or life-support applications. AAI does, however, offer an extensive range of high reliability testing services for its products, beyond traditional in-process component testing. AAI regularly works with its customers to provide customized testing and inspection services, as defined by the customer to meet their individual screening requirements.
