Standard Radiation-Tolerant Design Arrays for Rapid, Cost-Effective Design and Manufacture of MSI Logic and FPGA Replacement ICs Sunnyvale, CA, May 21, 2010 – ASIC Advantage, Inc. (AAI) announces the release of two new standard Array products to support rapid, cost-effective design of MSI Logic and FPGA Replacement IC solutions, as well as a number of standard MSI Logic products for Radiation-Tolerant applications. Designed and manufactured with a commercial process using AAI’s proprietary library, these products provide radiation tolerance to 200kRad(Si) as well as immunity to SEE and latch-up. These products were designed to enable AAI to efficiently meet the needs of our military and aerospace customers with such requirements. The AAHH143A supports implementation of a broad range of standard and custom logic solutions, with in excess of 2500 transistors on board and 24 pads for I/O requirements. Additionally, a variety of Standard Radiation-Tolerant MSI Logic products are currently in development from the AAHH143A, including the AAHH00 Quad 2-Input NAND Gate, the AAHH32 Quad 2-Input OR Gate, the AAHH138 Inverting 3 to 8 Line Decoder/Demux, the AAHH04 Hex inverter, and the AAHH74 Dual D Flip-Flop with Set/Reset. The larger AAHG200A is designed with sufficient resources to support up to 25k gates and 172 pads for I/O requirements, ideal for implementing solutions reduced from FPGAs such as the RT1020, RT1280A or RT1425A. The Arrays are designed to enable functional consolidation of cascaded requirements, including logic and analog functions. In addition, the Arrays enable matching of a variety of DC characteristics as needed (I/O thresholds, enable thresholds, tri-state options, S/R options), as well as close matching of various AC requirements such as start-up times, rise/fall times, minimum S/R pulse widths, matching of propagation delays, etc. The I/Os can be set for a variety of logic requirements, such as HCT, CD and others. Additionally, the design of the Arrays prevents powering of the IC from the input pins, assisting in Cold Sparing / Hot Swap compliance. The AAHHXXX Standard MSI Logic products are offered in Ceramic Dual Flat-Packs consistent with industry standard pin-outs, as well as in die form. A variety of packing options exist in the instance of a request from a customer as part of a custom design program. All of these products are rated for use from -55ºC to +125ºC.
