AAI has been working diligently to expand its base of market coverage and capabilities. An example of these efforts are new products being offered in the portable electronics space. Areas of future interest include audio and microphone products, as well as battery-level power management products. Ultra low-noise, ultra low-voltage operation, high-efficiency and ultra low standby power are examples of key areas of concern for integrated circuits in these applications. Meeting high levels of performance in these areas, while also providing for enhanced circuit density and other improvements in system level performance, will be focal points guiding AAI in our product development for this market. New to the 2009–2010 to AAI’s Portable Electronics products are a significant expansion in our microphone amplifier products. We offer several ECM Pre-Amplifier products with ultra-low noise and other performance advantages (AAP572x,AAP200x, AAP600, AAP661x). In addition, AAI is offering new products aimed at digital microphone applications and MEMS microphone applications, the AAP149 Digital Microphone Amplifier and AAP249 MEMS Microphone Pre-Driver. As a new family of products, all the Portable Electronics products will be named under the AAI Part Naming Convention. Our initial products will include offerings for electret condenser microphones with a microphone support product, as well as a novel power management product which features a dual output boost controller requiring only a single inductor. Additional products will be offered in the future to expand this family, building on the value provided in the key areas for this market. As with all AAI products, customization is an option available depending on your specific requirements. The dual output boost provides for excellent efficiency, while reducing the number of required external components by generating multiple outputs from a single magnetic element. |
