AAI has a rich history in providing solutions for a broad range of sensor and instrumentation applications, including strain gauges, photodetectors, linear differential variable transformers, Hall-effect and ultra-sonic sensors. With the introduction of this new branch of AAIs standard products, AAI will be providing feature rich products to help in these types of applications. Of particular interest in these applications are a rich mix of digital and analog content, as demonstrated by the ADCs, DACs, instrumentation amplifiers, SPI interface and other elements. As a new family of products, all the Sensor and Instrumentation products will be named under the AAI Part Naming Convention. Our initial products will include offerings for strain gauge and LVDT signal conditioning and interface requirements, as required to work with a microcontroller. Additional products will be offered in the future to expand on these products in order to exploit the mix of digital and analog blocks that are part of the broad range of AAIs mixed-signal capabilities. As with all AAI products, customization is an available option. Signal Conditioning and Interface The products in this category are intended to assist in the control and interface with sensor products.
