Enhanced Off-line SMPS Controller With Synchronization and Cycle-Skipping The IN-PLUG IPS16 is an enhanced off-line switcher version of the IPS10. It includes additional features such as soft start. Like the IPS10, the IPS16 was designed for low-cost, high-efficiency, low-power flyback off-line switching power supplies. It contains a shunt-regulator, a precision oscillator, a PWM with its associated comparator and loop compensation components as well as all the necessary biasing and protection circuitry (thermal shutdown, under-voltage and over-current).
