General Sensor Signal Conditioning and Interface
The AAS112A is part of AAI’s new family of Sensor and Instrumentation products aimed, in this case, at Sensor Interface requirements such as for strain gauge applications.
The AAS112A contains all the elements needed for interface and in-system control of a low frequency sensor, such as a strain gauge. Provisions include an on-board voltage reference of 3.3V, a programmable offset control function to enable system ‘centering,’ a programmable reference for powering the sensor, an input amplifier with compensation availability, two stage gain control via a multiplying 10-Bit DAC for the input amplifier output and additional gain control of an output, bandwidth limited buffer amplifer (10kHz).
